When she catches wind of a transgression so vile it has gone completely unmentioned, she set out to right that wrong, too.

The task is almost insurmountable – and time is short. She must conclude this business before the season's most politically charged event – the birthday celebration of General Raktkalis; a familial relation of her employer, and the man whose legacy he aims to claim. Yet he's not the only cut-throat on that path to power.

As much as she dreads the perilous visitation with the family – after all, a single misstep could stain her employer’s reputation, or cost her life – it’s a summons that cannot be ignored.
