All Corinne wanted was to have a life of her own – one where she wasn’t bartered away or married off for money and position.
When her elderly wealthy husband passes away, she struggles to keep herself and her daughters clothed and fed, while destined to be alone.
Until she is introduced to Luc. And a surprising love blossoms.
Suddenly, everything she longed for is at her fingertips – a wealthy and adoring husband, beautiful rooms and dresses for her daughters, a home she always wanted. Even a pair of elegant glass slippers.
And a stepdaughter.
A very unpleasant stepdaughter.
Desperate to be the best mother possible to this sad little girl, Corinne takes it upon herself to do everything she can for the child, even if it is just to please Luc.
But not everyone gets a happily ever after . . .
Something different by Michelle Deerwester-Dalrymple. Meet the villains in your favorite fairy tales.
