In the shadow of 'The Battle' that vanished a generation of heroes, 16-year-old Connor Connolly stumbles upon a pair of metabands, relics of a forgotten era of power. Overnight, from the ashes of his ordinary life in Bay View City, he is reborn as Omni, a fledgling hero in a world that has feared and revered metas in equal measure.
Haunted by the loss of his parents in the catastrophic event that reshaped society, Connor's journey is one of profound personal stakes. Living with his older brother Derrick, a meta-obsessed blogger, he grapples with the mantle of power and the haunting question: What legacy does he want to leave? As he navigates the treacherous new terrain of his abilities, a shadowy figure emerges—Midnight, a masked vigilante offering guidance and an alliance forged in the fires of shared destiny.
Yet, power attracts power. The resurgence of metas ignites a beacon for new threats lurking in the city's underbelly. Connor must quickly master the extraordinary gifts bestowed by the metabands before those who seek to reclaim the old world's glory ensnare him in their web. With each step, the lines blur between ally and enemy, right and wrong.
