Some say the world ended in fire.
They were wrong.
It ended in silence.
Seven hundred years ago, the bombs fell. Cities collapsed. Emp pulses erased every grid, every vault, every promise. Humanity died in pieces—but while the cities decayed, the wilds began to breathe again. And then, Aether returned. Magic, reborn—or revealed.
Now, the world is ruled by cold dominions and colder kings. The Crown governs from beneath sealed glass domes in the far north, enforcing its control through Aether-tech—magic-infused weapons—and elite academies that shape the next generation of soldiers, strategists, and sacrificial lambs.
Arx Aeternum is one such academy. A sanctum. A crucible. Forged in the wake of collapse and carved into the Icelandic cliffs, it trains cadets not just for war—but for what’s coming.
Because decades ago, humanity’s expansion to Mars triggered a signal. Something answered.
Now it’s coming.
The Crown knows. The public doesn’t. And buried in Arx’s stone heart, a new generation is being shaped for a war no one understands.
Among them, one squad stands out—for all the wrong reasons.
