Sergeant Pace Nix is a Commando in the canine division. Together with his war dog Riot, they carry out deadly missions behind enemy lines on a variety of worlds. While everyone else is signing up for new cybernetic combat enhancements, Pace decides to get out of the service while he and Riot are still whole.
But a man with skills is valuable, and Pace is lured into re-enlisting by an easy assignment in the Protective Services devision. They are assigned to an NGO taking medical supplies and equipment to colony worlds. It’s an easy job for the combat veteran, one he’s earned through valor above and beyond the call of duty. But when things go wrong it will be up to Pace and Riot to make things right. It’s a tall order that even they may not be able to achieve.
From the creative mind of master storyteller Toby Neighbors, comes an all new military sci-fi adventure unlike anything he’s written before.
