Jeremy Baht is an E6 medic aboard the Patriot Call battlecruiser in the war between humankind and the Ghraaks. When their vessel is shot down by a Ghraak destroyer, Jeremy and several soldiers find themselves marooned on an uncharted planet, hunted by a legion of Ghraaks. As they race across the barren planet in search of cover, Jeremy soon realizes that the Ghraaks are not their only worry; the planet, it seems, has an agenda as well.
